Meet Our Dental Team
What sets Dental Health Group apart starts with the people behind your care. Our practice was founded by Dr. Joel Chanen, a Temple University Dental School graduate who has been serving patients in this community for over 50 years. Dr. Chanen holds a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. He has also completed advanced implant training through the Synergy Implant Training Program.
Dr. Lisa Stahlecker joined the practice in 1990 after graduating magna cum laude from Georgetown University Dental School. She also completed the Synergy Implant Training Program, bringing a high level of skill and continuity to the practice.
Dr. Robin Chanen rounds out the team with her dental degree from Temple University and training through the Synergy Implant Training Program. She is also trained by the American Academy of Facial Aesthetics in Botox for facial aesthetics, TMJ disorders, and migraine headaches. She is one of the few dentists in the area offering these expanded services.
Together, our team brings decades of combined experience and a genuine commitment to patient-centered care.
General Dental Care for All Ages
General dentistry and preventative dental care are the foundation of oral health. Bi-annual dentist office visits are essential, starting when your first tooth erupts and continuing throughout the rest of your life. We not only provide deep cleaning services and oral exams, but we also teach you how to take care of your oral health at home.
Preventative dental care focuses on maintaining your oral health to prevent more severe dental problems in the future. A custom mouthguard protects your smile when playing contact sports or grinding your teeth at night. Both of these habits can cause serious harm to your teeth, including knocking them out or breaking them.
Even if you take great care of your teeth, a dental emergency can happen anytime. For example, you may bite down on a hard candy wrong, causing a crack or chip. We provide immediate care to help you with your surprise dental problems. If you experience a dental emergency, call our office to get care immediately.
Cosmetic Smile Transformations
Your smile is one of the first things people notice about you. This means you’ll want it to be your best, particularly when socializing and interviewing for jobs. Employers are more likely to hire or promote someone with a good smile as they find them more trustworthy. And potential friends and dates will gravitate toward someone happy and at ease in public.
Porcelain veneers are a smile makeover in a single dental treatment. These thin ceramic shells are custom-made to fit over the front and sides of your teeth, correcting the appearance of chips, cracks, discoloration, wear, and even mild crowding or gaps. We color-match each veneer to your desired shade, so the result looks and feels completely natural.
Replace Missing Teeth
Many seniors will experience tooth loss as they age. Losing a tooth can affect more than just your appearance. It can change the way you eat, speak, and feel about your smile. Without treatment, surrounding teeth can shift out of place over time, creating additional problems. At Dental Health Group, we offer several tooth replacement options to fit your specific situation.
Dental implants are the gold standard for replacing missing teeth, and all three of our dentists have completed advanced implant training. Because implants replace the tooth root, they’re the most stable and long-lasting solution available. There are no food restrictions, no worrying about slipping, and no compromises.
Whether you’re missing one tooth, several teeth, or a full arch, we’ll find the right solution to give you back a complete, confident smile.
